Question by MEEEE: How do I get birds to stop using the mailbox as a toilet?

It is getting so bad the mail lady is putting letters for us to clean th s*** off our mailbox. I keep having to clean, I tried putting a plastic snake on it, I am sick of them s***ing on my mailbox. Yes I know this is weird.
I have tried wind chimes, I have tried the owl, it’s not under a tree, no branches are around it, they sit on the top of th e box, and moving it doesn’t work either.
